JOB DESCRIPTION: Group Director Software, Solutions, Services
Our search for a Group Director, Software Solutions, and Services is fuelled by our commitment to extend and strengthen our international presence by delivering value-adding solutions in the ever-evolving field of financial services and retail. We are seeking an individual who possesses a solid understanding of the financial industry IT market, preferably with experience in the payments ecosystem, thrives on challenges, and has a proven track record in developing portfolios, new accounts, and partners in the EMEA/Central Asia region. The role reports directly to the Global CEO. The position is bound to be the nucleus of our expansion activities towards new software, solutions, and systems integration offerings, driving the foundation of this newly established division.
The role involves enhancing our technology portfolio to solutions and services, crafting a strategic pipeline for financial software platforms and retail automation solutions, collaborating with various Transaction Systems teams and building and optimizing new business streams. At the same time, the company-owned SW offering shall be supported. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership skills and is an empathic team player in our dynamic and multi-cultural ecosystem. He/She disposes of strong customer value-oriented consultative selling skills and is used to working with a hands-on mentality. Fluency in English is a must, additional European languages are a plus. Solution selling and systems integration background is required. Understanding of the payments industry and experience in leading SW development teams will be an asset.
The role model of our new colleague will have sound experience in international (IT-) organizations with an open mindset, resilience, and willingness to learn and collaborate in smaller teams.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portfolio Development Strategy: Develop and execute a highly productive strategy aligned with the company’s goals. Enhance and develop our solutions portfolio and our solution partners’ landscape. Potentially embed existing SW portfolio, if market opportunities occur.
- Market Analysis: Analyze the market, competitors, and customers. Identify new business solutions and opportunities
- Customer insight: Understand the financial industry´s leading customer demand and decision-making characteristics in our go-to-market regions.
- Industry network: Combine Transaction Systems´ and own network contacts with key stakeholders. Use a C-level network to position the company brand and competencies
- Business planning, pipeline building, and deal qualification: Develop effective strategies to promote the company offering. Provide reliable planning for income and expenditures
- Opportunity and Account Strategies: Develop key account coverage strategies as well as win strategies for identified opportunities
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to promote and quality-assure the offering
- Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape
- Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional and virtual teams within TRANSYS
- Risk Management: Control potential risks, impacting productivity and profitability
- Partner management: Engage with partners to enhance the reach of TRANSYS in the perspectives of go-to-market as well as delivery and development.

LOCATION
- Resident of inner CEE region preferred (home office possible) with convenient travel distance to Budapest. Travel to customer/partner sites is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 10 years in the technology industry, with customer/partner network in CEE / EMEA
- Customer-facing experience at senior level. Business development and presales expertise.
- Experience in relationship building and business development in the financial or retail industry
- Experience in complex sales: complex product solutions, consulting, professional services
- MBA or technical degree preferred, but not a must
- Business fluency in English
