Diginet & Transaction Systems Introduce Value-Added Applications for Restaurants and Retailers on PAX Android Terminals

Transforming the new generation PAX payment terminals into a hub for delivering value-adding services and enhancing revenue streams.

Athens, Greece & Budapest, Hungary- October 2, 2018- Diginet, a partner of Transaction Systems (TRSYS) in Greece, announces the introduction of two innovative and flexible applications for restaurants and retailers, already fiscalized, complying to Greek law. The applications have been designed to work on all Android terminals, and certification is currently granted for the new A920 and E500 PAX Technology terminals running on Android.

The two applications, DigiRetail & DigiOrder, designed by Diginet for the Greek market, aim at retailers and restaurant businesses respectively. Besides the primary payment function, and the relevant receipt issuing, compliant to the latest version of Greek fiscal law, they can also be used for retail sales, as well as order receiving when used in restaurants.

Through their innovative design, the applications enable high-level customer interactions, transforming the new generation terminals into something more than simple payment devices, differentiating retailers and restaurant owners from their competition, enhancing their client base, and increasing their market share.  By upgrading and enhancing the terminals’ functionality, the cost of ownership and operations is thus substantially reduced.

The use of terminals, besides the primary payment function and issuing receipts, compliant to the latest version of the fiscal law in Greece, is further enhanced as they can be used for retail sales and as terminals for receiving and sending orders, as well as issuing receipts when used in catering solutions.

“In today’s digitalized world,” said Thanasis Papageorgiou, General Manager of Diginet “POS applications designed in order to provide the new generation terminals with new features and functionality, make it possible for merchants and service providers to adapt to the new circumstances of a digitalized marketspace.”

Commenting on the new applications, Panagiotis Chalkias, Managing Director, TRSYS International said “Partnering with companies such as Diginet enables us to address the challenges facing restaurants and retailers and introduce solutions that drive new revenue growth and improve customer engagement and profitability”

The applications can be installed on all PAX Android terminals, with the fiscalization certification currently available for the A920 and E500 PAX Android terminals. The terminals accept all types of payment cards VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Diners etc., use multiple connectivity via WiFi, 4G, Bluetooth and are NFC enabled.
